Description of Blue Face
This a distressing piece of artwork that expresses the trauma that Victoria Boam felt (postictal) after a 2nd seizure when she is not aware of anything she is doing, saying or has happened to her.
A day of 5 seizures triggered by unkindness in the online workspace (just over 3.5 yrs ago) which led to great upset, stress, no sleep, consecutive seizures in one day, stopping breathing and a three-day stay in the hospital.
It tries to describe aspects of the after-effects for Victoria Boam cognitively, personally, emotionally and in her professional life too.
It has been made to help to create some awareness around the often unspoken neurological condition of epilepsy and explain to people its triggers and after-effects for some individuals who have the condition that it can be difficult to live with for some individuals and often misunderstood.
Warning! Not recommended to listen to around children or if you are very sensitive, probs best to wear headphones/ AirPods.
